Dropkick Murphy’s is located on one of Edinburgh iconic cobbled back streets, leading to the cowgate one of Edinburgh’s nightlife hub. Previously dark and in-descript the client want to lift the street and entrance to their venue with a lighting installation.

For this task an industry standard in exterior grade wash lights was specified: SGM’s P5 LED fixture. The units robust build quality, extremely high out and IP rating made it the perfect cabdidate to meet the clients needs. Six units mounted in up-down arrangements were fixed to the front of the bridge, accompanied by eight green LED flood lights underneath the bridge itself to complete the picture. Programming a number of scenes, including the Irish Flag colour as seem below, was implemented using an architectural lighting controller which could be manually set or left to run on an astronomical timer.
